Honoring the Class of 2026 with this year's hooding ceremony

The graduating class of 2026 outside on the staircase on the campus of Mercer University
Our Hooding Ceremony honored the hard work, dedication, and achievement of graduates as they officially transitioned from student pharmacists to pharmacy professionals. We were proud to welcome distinguished guests, alumni, faculty, and supporters who helped make the day memorable.

Special thanks to keynote speaker Michael Hogue, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Pharmacists Association, for sharing inspiring remarks with our graduates.

We also recognized alumni John and Nancy Gunn and Steve Wilson, members of the Class of 1976, as they celebrated their 50th reunion, and welcomed remarks from Dr. Ashlyn Carter (’12).

The ceremony also highlighted several outstanding award recipients:

Dr. Vivian Liao received the College of Pharmacy Service Award for exceptional dedication and service.
Dr. Ajay Banga received the College of Pharmacy Research Award for significant contributions to research.
• Dr. Derek Polly (’09) received the Distinguished Alumni Award.
• Megan Rebollar (’26) was recognized with the U.S. Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award for advancing public health priorities.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and award recipients. Revisit the ceremony with the recorded livestream:
