Interview Preparation for the Pharm.D. Program

We are glad you will be joining us for an upcoming Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program Admissions Interview. The following information should help you prepare for your upcoming interview.

Tip #1: Carefully read all information provided to you about your interview. Let us know if you have questions or need assistance as you prepare for your interview.

Tip #2: While we get to know you better through the interview process, we encourage you to get to know us better by asking questions you may have about our campus, College, Pharm.D. Program, faculty, and student life. Your interview will include multiple sessions including a session with our Dean, one-on-one time with a faculty member, a one-on-one admissions review, a multiple mini interview circuit, and a team activity.

If you chose the online format for your interview:

Tip #3: Test your access and connection by scheduling a testing/access session with us. Email pharmd@mercer.edu to request your testing/access session.

Tip #4: Make sure you access the interview platform at least 10 minutes before your interview begins to ensure you can connect and that your audio and video are working.

Tip #5: While the interview is being held online, please prepare for the interview as though you will be seeing us in person (e.g., professional attire strongly encouraged).

If you chose the on-ground format for your interview:

Tip #3: Remember to wear a mask and adhere to physical distancing protocol while on campus.

Tip #4: Give yourself plenty of time to get to Mercer’s Atlanta Campus, taking into account Atlanta traffic or public transportation delays, directions, weather, and other circumstances. Plan to arrive early so you have time to check in and get settled before the interview begins.

Tip #5: If you are using a GPS for directions, make sure you use Atlanta – not Macon – as the city in your GPS. GPS often directs a person “around” campus instead of “into” campus. Please consider printing the information included in the link below (directions and campus map).

Campus Address: 3001 Mercer University Drive, Atlanta, GA 30341.The campus is convenient to interstates 85 and 285 and about 2.5 miles from the Doraville MARTA station.

If you need additional directions while on your way, please contact the Office of Admissions at (678) 547-6232.

Tip #6: Use the Mercer University Drive Entrance to access the North Parking Lot and park in this lot (it is closest to our building). There will spaces marked by orange cones for you to park in near the building. Once you have parked, you should see a greeter to help you get from the parking lot to the check-in location.
